Ground Floor is a film about a man suffering the injustices of society, metaphorically being brought down to level zero by the people her surrounds himself with. The trailer looks to build suspense at this overall frustration towards life building up, accompanied by an interwoven chase scene, which works synonymously to build tension. Bubbling over, the frustration with his circumstance begins to manifest itself within some of narrative as you his rebellious side come out at the very end of the film trailer (his facial expression shows he is ready to fight back the negative/destroying people in his life).
Our Main Inspiration for Ground Floor: The Mass of Men
The Mass of Men, scaffolded and gave us inspiration for out treatment. We were moved by the narrative of the film, and how the audience are positioned in such a way we are sympathised with the character/employee who is talked down to and made to feel empty by a patronising and self-important manager.
